Fusion Academy Washington DC is a private, one-to-one school serving grades 4 to 12 at 2000 Florida Avenue NW in Dupont Circle, Ward 2. Fusion's defining feature is its one teacher, one student per classroom model — every academic class is taught individually, with no group instruction. Fusion is part of a national network of 80+ campuses across the US.

One-to-one model

Fusion's model is engineered for students who struggle in conventional classroom settings — high-ability students who need acceleration, students with learning differences, students recovering from gaps caused by anxiety, illness, or family disruption, and student-athletes / artists with intensive outside commitments. Every class is one-on-one with a credentialed teacher.

Admissions and enrollment

Fusion is rolling admission — families can enroll at any point in the school year. Application includes academic records review and an interview to determine fit. Open to all DC residents and DC-area commuters.

Tuition is at the top end of DC private day-school range (typically $40,000 to $60,000+ per year given the one-to-one model). Financial aid is available on a limited basis.
