Garrison Elementary School is an intentionally diverse community school operating with the vision that every student will be loved, challenged, and prepared to thrive. The school day runs from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and a uniform is not required, offering families flexibility. Garrison offers a variety of engaging programs, including Interscholastic Sports and a hands-on School Garden where students can learn about nature and sustainability. Beyond academics, students can participate in enriching activities like DC SCORES, combining soccer and poetry, Girls on the Run, martial arts instruction, and Ballet & Books. Lottery priority is given to in-boundary applicants with a sibling currently attending or a sibling offered admission, strengthening its community ties.
