“Where Different Thinkers Become Great Achievers”
The Lab School of Washington is the nation's leading school for students with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. Founded by the late Dr. Sally Smith in 1967, Lab uses an arts-based curriculum — drama, woodworking, dance, visual arts, and history through activities — to unlock the talents of bright students who learn differently. Two campuses: Foxhall Road (Elementary/Middle) and Reservoir Road (High School).
Lab School believes that bright students with learning disabilities have unique strengths. Its arts-based curriculum unlocks those strengths — through drama, woodworking, dance, and history through activities — while building the academic skills students need.
