About Roosevelt High School

Theodore Roosevelt High School is a comprehensive DCPS public high school at 4301 13th Street NW in Petworth, Ward 4, serving grades 9 to 12. Roosevelt is the in-boundary high school for much of Petworth, 16th Street Heights, and parts of Brightwood, with a fully modernized building reopened after a multi-year renovation.

Dual Language Immersion

Roosevelt is one of the few DCPS comprehensive high schools offering a Dual Language / Immersion (Spanish-English) program at the high-school level — students who attended DCPS Spanish-immersion elementary and middle schools (Oyster-Adams, Bancroft, Powell etc.) can continue their bilingual pathway through graduation.
