BASIS DC PCS provides an internationally benchmarked, accelerated science and liberal arts curriculum designed to challenge students. The school operates from 8:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. daily, and student uniforms are not a requirement. Key programs offered include Advanced Placement courses, a range of Interscholastic Sports, and a supportive Restorative Justice Program. Beyond academics, students can explore enrichment activities such as Science Olympiad, Soccer, Middle and High School Boys and Girls Cross Country, Tae Kwondo, Certamen, Model UN, Debate, GSA, and National Honors Society. For lottery applicants, priority consideration is extended to children of staff and siblings already enrolled at the school.

All DC residents enrolled at BASIS DC PCS (ages 5–21) qualify for Kids Ride Free — a SmarTrip card that grants free Metrobus, Metrorail, and DC Circulator rides on school days.
