Transportation
Dallas County Schools is one of the largest pupil transportation fleets in the United States. Operating a fleet of approximately 1,700 buses, Dallas County Schools transports approximately 60,000 children to and from school safely each day. All 1,700 buses are housed at DCS's ten service centers.
DCS has five stunning activity buses available for field trips and special event transportation.
Dallas County Schools travels over 20 million miles annually to provide regular, special education, and extracurricular transportation to the children of Dallas County. Excellent drivers are acknowledged with a Shining Star Award.
