Crisis Management Plan
The safety of students riding our school buses and of DCS Staff has always been of utmost concern. With the Homeland Security Advisory System threat levels changing regularly, DCS administrators are dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and schools.
Crisis management plans and procedures are in place at all service centers and administrative offices and DCS staff is prepared to implement any necessary actions. DCS has revisited our crisis manuals and we will continue to provide training and drills to ensure that all employees are aware of our procedures. Current crisis manual plans include and are not limited to a potential bus accident, assault, bomb threat and hostage situation.
Dallas County Schools will continue to do all we can to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and the students we serve. These are difficult times for all of us. We must work together to provide the safest environments for our children. Any updates affecting DCS employees or students will be promptly communicated.
